I’ve been no fan of the Ball family. Lonzo and Liangelo I could care less about, but Lavar and Lamelo used to get my blood boiling:
But now so many people hate him, and he’s gotten so outrageously cocky, that I have no choice but to become a huge fan of the Ball family. They’re the villains in the NBA that we’ve been searching for. We have, what, 2 1/2 decades of their cockiness ahead of us? Of their dad being a nuisance and making the headline about himself? I don’t think it’s good to have your parent so involved in the process when you’re trying to go pro, but nonetheless Lavar’s gone balls in on this and you have to respect that. Any time somebody goes 100%, you have to tip your hat. Even if you’re a serial killer, I can tip my hat to you not half-assing it. We thought the “my son is better than Steph Curry” thing was crazy (it wasn’t), but then he said f it and said he could beat MJ one on one, and that his son was better than Westbrook and Lebron. Well, that Lonzo could beat them in 5 on 5. Which, I don’t know what it means. So outrageous that it makes me love him. Guy dove into the ocean in cinderblocks he’s so deep into this. Give me more Lavar, I’m craving it. Start your own hall of fame. Make your own pro basketball league. I’m all on board now (until everyone joins the bandwagon then I’m out).
