Fred Van Fleet Did Everything He Could To Win Pizza For Raptors Fans

Who knew Fred Van Fleet (“Paul it’s spelled VanVleet” nah, pass on that) was in the league? That’s for another day.

SB Nation pointed out that the Raptors fans didn’t actually give free pizza to the fans, because the Raptors have to score 100 points AND win. Nonetheless, I don’t think Fred knew that, or cared if he did. He did it for the fans. He did it for pizza. Pizza for the fans. He loved the pizza and the fans so very much that he gave his only 3 point of the attempt of the game up to help attain it. In high school, we said every character in a novel was a Christ figure. Easiest way to an A was to just say the protagonist was a Christ figure. In that figure, I think Fred Van Fleet’s a Christ figure for this act. What a brave and selfless act. A team first guy like that deserves a decade long extension for being so team and fan first.
