Uni Report: Michigan State Basketball

Michigan State threw it all the way back to 1909, when the institution was known as Michigan Agricultural College, with these uniforms today against in-state rival Michigan. I’m a HUGE fan of throwback uniforms and these are as nostalgic is they get. I’ll be honest, I never knew Michigan State was formally called Michigan Agricultural School until these uniforms. That’s the beauty of throwbacks. The history of a program, or school, can be told by wearing one uniform. I love that these uniforms were able to teach me something. The only negative feedback I have for Michigan State’s choice in throwback uniform is that they weren’t these:

These uniforms sparked the rise of “The Flintstones” in East Lansing, and they were a thing of beauty. In my opinion, it’s tough to beat these if you’re talking Michigan State throwbacks.
Uniform Grade: Solid B.
Simple, informative, but not at the same level as “The Flintstones” throwbacks.
