Uber Driver Gets Free Ticket to Cubs Game From Passengers

AND PEOPLE SAY CHICAGOANS AREN’T NICE

Via Reddit user Dave Pardo this morning, who explains he picked up some fellas at Union Station in Chicago who were headed to Wrigley. “Cubs game? I wish I was going tonight,” he said. And wouldn’t you know, the boys had an extra ticket, and gave it to the driver.

First off, this would never happen on the South Side in a million years. Because south siders would much rather sell it to the guy posted up at the 31st street exit with the “I need tickets” sign for $20 (pro tip, he’s actually selling tickets). Even though two of them have Sox hats on, I doubt their loyalty. Next, dude probably ended up paying $40 for parking and another $30 on grub, so he lost money on the night.

Great story nonetheless, hope they’re buddies still.
