Aren’t you more glad than anything that you don’t live in Russia?
A story that, surprisingly, went unreported by the Internet. Inna Trazhukova lost the bronze medal match in women’s 63 kg (America didn’t prepare me for writing about the Olympics) wrestling to Poland. When she walked off the mat, she got punched twice in the face by Mikhail Mamiashvili, president of Russian federation. Ole Mikhail didn’t even deny the accusations:
Can you imagine if this happened in America? There would be protests. Boycotts. The President would make a speech about it. Shit would hit the fan, rightfully so. In Russia, nothing really. Just the president of their Olympic federation saying if the girl doesn’t want to get punched, she should try harder.
Next time you think America sucks, remember that we don’t punch people in the face for losing.
*Please don’t hack us Russia, thanks*
