KRIS DUNN (PROVIDENCE)
Pros: Purest point guard in the draft, and the stats back it up. 17 points, 7 assists, and 6 boards per game speak for themselves. Elite vision helps him find soft spots in zones, and keep balls one step ahead of man defenses. Big enough (205 pounds) to take small point guards in post, and finish in traffic. Very sweet midrange game. Natural leader on the floor. Could play 1 or 2 at next level, defensively, because of size.
Cons: Needs improvement on jumpshot, especially threes. Free throw percentage under 65% could be his Achilles heel in the future. Literal weakness in the fact he’s had 2 shoulder surgeries in college. True damage will be revealed in NBA physical exams. Doesn’t play extremely challenging schedule.
